Cancer as you know is the unchecked rapid growth of cells in the body. This rapid growth or division of cells leads to tumor which is harmful to body parts slowly affecting not only the part affected but also spreading its tentacles to other body parts.

The external factors that lead to cancer are excessive use of tobacco, smoking, excessive consumption of alcohol etc, exposure to harmful chemicals like uranium, asbestos etc. A change in lifestyle can help prevent cancer.

To prevent cancer you need to follow a healthy nutritious diet which has all the required amount of vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, amino acids etc that is essential for a healthy body. You also need to avoid fatty foods as obesity also leads to cancer. Prefer foodstuffs that contain less oil and eat more of steamed food, baked or boiled food. Apart from this you also need to include foodstuffs that help prevent cancer and help fight cancer.
You also need to restrict yourself to your food habits, exercise regularly and indulge into some activities that will keep your occupied and in a good mood. You can also start taking hobby classes where in you develop your interest thus helping you enjoy an active and healthy life. It has been found that cancer growth is more rapid in certain parts of the body while in some part the growth is slow. Cancer is curable to a certain extent if detected early and the mode of treatment administered is different as per the part that is affected.
